Elephant and Piggy drive through visit during Cabin Fever Week

Don’t let the pigeon drive the bus! is a phrase I’m sure all of your children have heard and can repeat. Mo Willems is a revolutionary children’s author. He adds fun and humor to reading creating memorable characters that will launch your children into a love of reading.  During the pandemic he created YouTube videos where he taught children how to draw his lovable characters bringing them to life even more. The pigeon isn’t his only book series, he also created the Elephant and Piggie characters that help kids learn to read while also teaching them about friendship and sharing and most importantly making them laugh. Elephant and Piggie are two unique best friends in an easy reader series created by Mo Willems. Who would think an elephant and pig could be best friends?, but they are in this endearing series where they have adventures, make new friends together, and learn to share. They are among some of the most checked out books in the library. And they are coming to visit the library!

Saturday, January 30 from 9 am to 11:00 a.m., Elephant and Piggie will be available in the library parking lot for pictures and to say “HI”. Drive through and snap a pic or get out and pose! There will be other special surprises too! Don’t let your friends meet Elephant & Piggie without you!
