Thank you to Youth Summer Library Program Sponsors

A big thank you goes out to all of our summer library program sponsors.

Two of our Wonderful Wednesday Programs, the ISU Insect Zoo and the Waterloo/ Cedar Falls Symphony Instrument Petting Zoo, were sponsored through CPPC funding; a grant program provided through DHS.

Our Touch a Truck program was supported by the City of Charles City, Swartzrock Implement Co., and Friends of the Charles City Public Library.

The Absolute Science Foam Party is sponsored by First Security Bank and the Shark Touch Tank was provided by a Walmart grant.

Our reading prizes this year are all sponsored by Friends of the Charles City Public Library, and our family programs were all sponsored by CUSB Bank. Kwik Star provided funding for all food at family events.

Teen programs were sponsored in part by CUSB and by Floyd County Community Foundation. Our Friends of the Library sponsored the Teen Iron Chef program. ISU Extension provided the funding for the Fizz, Bubble, Goo day camp and the Kids in the Kitchen program. A special thank you to Meredith Hamm, Kayona Flowers, Sherri Parker, Emily Kromminga, Emily Bilharz, and Casey Leerhoff for volunteering to help with our summer programs.

We thank these organizations from the bottom of our hearts. Program attendance has skyrocketed this year, and we would not have been able to offer anywhere near the number of learning opportunities without their support.
